Background

Strands of Autumn (SOA) is 5-piece rock/metalcore/posthardcore band formed in University of the Philippines Diliman through an experimental band back in 2009 for the UP Music Circle. In its early years, SOA incorporated scream vocals partnered with post hardcore identity. However, due to lineup changes and new influences, it settled with its distinct derivative union of rock and metalcore music. SOA’s songs has now evolved into a unique mix of rock and metal, distinct melody, and mild breakdowns that focus on the struggles of being alive.
